The Association of Black Faculty, Administrators & Staff (ABFAS) will hold its first summer term Executive Committee lunch gathering on Wednesday, June 13th, 2012 from 12:00 PM to 1:15 PM in the African American Studies Resource Center: The Paul Robeson Room, George W. The mission of the Association of Black Faculty, Administrators, and Staff (ABFAS) at George Mason University is to promote the well-being of the Black community of the university; to assertively push for the recruitment of Black faculty, administrators, staff, and students; to assist in the recruitment and retention of Black undergraduate and graduate students at Mason; to encourage equitable utilization of Black faculty, administrators, and staff throughout the university community; to be a liaison between ABFAS and the university administration; and to organize and maintain a support network for Black faculty, administrators, staff, and students.
